Editor’s Letter: Identity that transforms
In this issue, we celebrate Ecuadorian talent, innovation, and well-being. We begin with Inspiring People and master painter Jaime Zapata, whose work speaks to our roots, while in Made in Ecuador we discover Wipala, a brand that is transforming the market with natural, conscious foods.
We believe change is collective. In Open Classroom, we reflect on the importance of recognizing ourselves in order to transform our surroundings, a commitment also shared by Fundación Don Bosco through our Social Responsibility section.
Visual and technological evolution comes together in Profiles.ec, where we meet Laura Luna and the heart behind lunae.ec, and in Future Code, a showcase for local technological innovation. This is complemented by the fresh perspective of Real Economy and its analysis of sustainable digital entrepreneurship. Above all, Ecuadorian pride is reaffirmed in Figures, which takes us through the 15 reasons why Ecuadorians feel proud.
Finally, we invite you to take care of yourself and rediscover Ecuador. In Health and Well-being, we explore sleep debt and its daily impact; in Routes 593, we travel to Otavalo for the Fiesta del Yamor; and we close with the energy and discipline of Kike Guerrero in Sports DNA.ec.

Lunae is a family-owned jewelry company founded in 1988 that combines artisanal tradition with a new stage of modernization. With the second generation now joining the business, the brand is looking to update its processes, incorporate new tools, and continue growing without losing the quality, craftsmanship, or family legacy that have defined it for nearly four decades.
