Editor’s letter: Stories moving forward
In this issue, we celebrate the many ways people grow, create and transform from Ecuador. We begin with Inspiring people, featuring Diego Acosta, an Ecuadorian producer and engineer whose career brings together music, technology, discipline and continuous learning. In Made in Ecuador, we meet HebraViva, Claudia León’s project that transforms fiber, color and memory into pieces connected to the land and Ecuadorian roots.
Change also means preparing for new scenarios. In Open classroom, we explore the digital skills that are redefining employment, while in Social responsibility, we travel to Penipe to learn about the work of CEBYCAM-CES and a story in which disability, independence, family and community have been shaped over decades.
Business and technological evolution are present in Perfiles.ec, where Joan Proaño shares how architecture, planning and reputation have shaped the growth of Proaño Proaño. In Future code, we discover the infrastructure behind .ec domains and NIC.EC’s technological transition from CoCCA to CIRA. Real economy complements this perspective with practical insights for organizing finances and building more sustainable digital businesses.
Finally, we invite you to take care of yourself and continue discovering new stories. In Health and well-being, we talk about breast cancer prevention; in Routes 593, we follow the water between Tena and Misahuallí to discover rivers, rainforest, gastronomy and Kichwa culture; and in Sports DNA.ec, we reflect on Lionel Messi’s legacy and what a new chapter means for Argentina’s national team.
Enjoy this journey through the best of our people.
Welcome!
